CRY (Care & Relief for the Young) Jersey aims to "rescue & restore young lives broken by poverty, oppression exclusion and abuse." We are a local Christian charity working mainly overseas, and we are the Jersey branch of CRY UK. We partner with local churches & local people to provide feeding centres, children’s homes, schools, medical care & livelihood projects and hope for a better future.

CRY aims to rescue and restore children and young people broken by poverty, oppression, exclusion and abuse.

We set up projects that provide for the most basic needs – food, water, shelter, education – in some of the poorest nations in the world.

But we recognise we can’t do that on our own.So we train and support local people and churches to run the projects, using their knowledge to make the projects sustainable for the long-term.

Founded in 1992 by Martyn Dunsford, CRY now works in around 20 different nations, and over its history has raised over £4,000,000 for the projects it has worked on.
