Swim coach, teacher and mentor

Born in the Belgian Congo to Jersey parents (who were working there at the time) – evacuated out in July 1960 back to Jersey Schooled here

Competitive swimmer from the age of 9 with Jersey Swimming Club – only Havre Des Pas Bathing pool in those days – so only sea swimming in the summer…

Jersey Swimming changed in 1969 when De La Salle pool was opened – and indoor pool swimming was started.

Fort Regent pool was opened in 1971 – I was 14 and Jersey’s 31 female swimmer at that time – new Swimming club started – big competition and swimming increased and changed again. I still preferred the sea as it was more natural and comfortable for me – so I started to concentrate on sea swimming….

Been involved within swimming the English Channel (and more) since 1975! (Please see attached CV)

What is your favourite beach or place in Jersey & why?

Ouaisne : Smugglers Inn and Kismet Cabana

SEA(SIDE), FOOD, SPORT

We aim to make Vibrant Jersey a community based website by involving local people in the promotion of our island. What do you think about the Vibrant Jersey website and what additions do you think we should make?

I think your website is great!

Maybe a bit more ‘animation’?? Music in the background while you browse??

Maybe a snippet of the music each band/musician plays? not sure if that is possible!

Sea waves/ sound effects when looking at the beaches…??

But apart from that i think it`s great!

Well done!
