Fête des Dolmens

Would you like to discover more about Jersey’s ancient past? Why not get on the dolmen bus and join the annual Fête des Dolmens?

Starting at La Hougue Bie, this coach tour will take you around the Island on a day trip with a difference and return to La Hougue Bie.

Join Olga Finch Curator of Archaeology at Jersey Heritage as she takes you on a tour of the Island’s magnificent megaliths. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain an insight into Jersey’s neolithic past.

As well as visiting dolmens the travellers will discover:
•What a dolmen is
•Who built them and when
•Why they were built
•What were the rituals that took place inside
•Where did the stones come from
•What did the landscape looked like

Tickets for the guided tour cost £20 for adults and £6 for children, Jersey Heritage members £15,  £6 for Jersey Heritage child members. Tickets must be bought in advance in person and are available from La Hougue Bie Museum or Jersey Museum and Art Gallery. Please bring your lunch and wear suitable footwear.



Depart from La Hougue Bie Museum, promptly at 9.30am.

Les Monts Grantez,  St Ouen (No.1*)

Arrival time approximately 4.00 pm


Return to La Hougue Bie Museum by approximately 5.15pm


People are advised to wear suitable footwear and bring a picnic lunch.
