Live dig takes place at Les Varines every day except Saturdays with regular Shuttle Bus available from La Hougue Bie.
Come and see the latest work of the Ice Age team as we continue our live archaeology at Les Varines.
Open every day (except Saturdays) you can come and take a look at a dig in progress, watch the experts as they work at this vitally important Ice Age site. While you are there take a look at our Pop Up Museum with artwork from Hautlieu students and information about the dig and the Ice Age Project. The project benefits from a solar rig, supported by Jersey Electricity, which means experts can work in the field in all weathers cataloguing finds.
There is no parking at Les Varines, so please use the shuttle bus service from La Hougue Bie. This service runs throughout the day at regular intervals (there is no cost for the bus but donations are gratefully recieved).
