Wassailing is said to awaken the cider apple trees and scare away evil spirits to ensure a good harvest! Come along to the Elms, bring ‘noise makers’ (saucepan lids and spoons, bells, anything will do! ), join in the procession, watch the trees being ‘toasted’ in the orchard, enjoy the singing and dancing and a tot of Sloe gin.
