Commando Raids in WW2 – Spring Walking Week – SOLD OUT

Discover about the British and French commando raids in 1943 at Egypt and how these fitted in the commando raids that took place around the Channel Islands and on the continent and how the effects of the CI raids had major repercussions for the Allied forces and civilians as the war progressed. We will go through and pass NT property. This area is part of a prehistoric landscape where our ancestors left their mark in the form of megalithic structures and other things which are not quite as apparent. This is a strenuous walk requiring fitness and stamina over rough, slippery and narrow paths with frequent climbs and descents. Sturdy footwear and weather appropriate clothing are essential.

Duration: 2 – 2.5 hours/ Moderate Walking/ This circular walk will mainly follow the cliff paths, although most of the last half an hour is on public roads.
