Samurai Kickboxing – We started in 2017, with the sole aim of teaching kickboxing to children and we now do so to over 150 students a week in Jersey! We empower children by teaching them core life skills that enrich their lives and provide them with a foundation upon which they can become the best versions of themselves. This includes providing our students with the character to stand-up for themselves but the ability to avoid a fight. With over 24 face-to-face classes a week, Samurai Kickboxing teaches children from the age of 4 to 18 years in schools and public venues. Blood Fitness – Our classes run every week and are open to everyone. You don’t need to be a Muay Thai fighter, or even be super fit (that’s what we’re here for), we are blessed to have a great mix of all abilities in our classes and every class is fitness based and tailored to be suitable for all. It develops good balance, strength and stamina, spatial awareness and physical confidence.
Swimming
Calligo Tigers Swimming Club – We are well known for our competitive success in the Channel Islands and beyond but we also recognise that many people want to swim for participation rather than competition. Through our experienced coaches and teachers we can offer enjoyment from the sport whatever your ability or aspirations, from beginner to international competitor. Amongst our current ranks we include Commonwealth Games, Youth Commonwealth Games and British National standard swimmers. Le Mourier Swim-Sea-Save – Established in Jersey over 40 years ago in early 1980, Le Mourier Swim/Sea/Save is a local family run business dedicated to inspiring confidence in, on and around the water! Le Mourier comprises three schools. Our swimming school teaches 7 days a week during term time from ages as young as 8 weeks old to 80 years old and over. All of our lessons are led by one of our fully qualified and dedicated team of career swimming teachers. We instruct at four venues: Inverness Lodge in the St Lawrence countryside, Les Roche in St Ouen, and Langford and Haute Vallee pools which are both in St Helier.
Football
Brazilian Soccer School – Brazilian Soccer Schools (BSS) is the original technical development program, running for over 20 years in the UK. BSS originated from the home of some of the greatest players in the world, Brazil. We are the only technical development program with a curriculum of 200+ individual moves and a method of measuring progression. Our training philosophy, put simply, is for players to become technically competent with the ball, work to develop the required physical components before going on to excel in game situations.Socatots – Socatots is the world’s first soccer specific physical play programme for children from six months to school age. Our classes aim to give children the very best start in life, using football as a medium to develop their key skills. The organisation was launched in 2002 by Simon Clifford, founder of Brazilian Soccer Schools, after he found a lack of preschool football classes to take his young daughter to. SOCATOTS have been running in Jersey since November 2011 offering fun, entertaining and educational classes that encourage positive development in areas such as motor skills, numeracy, literacy and colour recognition, as well as teamwork.
Squash
The Jersey Squash & Racketball Club is a family friendly club based in St Clement with modern facilities and a thriving social scene. The club has the top facilities in the island including 5 squash courts, one of which is a glass back exhibition court, modern changing facilities, a private members bar, club shop, extensive parking, disabled access and a state of the art online digital booking system. The JSRC welcomes all squash & racketball players from beginners who have never picked up a racket to professional! There are individual and team leagues available as well as club nights.Gymnastics at Little Monkeys – Get your child active at an early age with gymnastics proven to help with social skills, balance, body awareness and coordination.
Jersey Chess Club – It’s never too late to learn how to play chess – the most popular game in the world! If you are totally new to the game or even want to learn all of the rules and strategies.
Netball – The Jersey Netball Association, or JNA, is the governing body for netball in Jersey. Established in 1944, the JNA runs three divisions in the Dominion Winter League. At the elite end of netball in Jersey are Team Jets, who compete in England Netball’s national leagues
Basketball – Jersey Basketball Association. The JBBA offers players of all skill, age and ability the chance to play basketball. We also offer a corporate fun summer league and a junior league.
Badminton – A friendly and social badminton club open to adult players looking to play club standard badminton. New to the Island or on holiday and wanting to play a few fun games? Why not come down to the New Gilson Hall on Friday evenings. We are also looking for teams wishing to visit the Island and participate in friendly interclub matches.
Archery – There are two clubs in Jersey under the branch of the Archery Association of Jersey, which means that archers can be selected for prestigious events such as the island games and commonwealth games to represent the island.
