This Sunday the Force 135 Living History Group will be at Noirmont Point, supporting the Channel Islands Occupation Society’s opening of the Kriegsmarine command bunker at Batterie Lothringen – it promises to be a great Father’s Day out for any Second World War or military history enthusiasts!
We will be showcasing a mine clearance setup with examples of equipment and (inert) German explosives on display, which the men of Force 135 were tasked with clearing from the Channel Islands following Liberation. Additionally, the Jersey Military Vehicle Group are also set to attend, with some excellent historic military vehicles on display.
The CIOS bunker will be open from 2-5pm – entry is £5 for adults, and free for under 16s.
