Celebrating French Culture in Jersey
This summer, Jersey Opera House is thrilled to join forces with cultural institutions across the island to celebrate La Saison Française. As a ‘warm-up’ to the 2024 Paris Olympics, we are excited to bring you closer to our French neighbours with a series of free cultural activities for the whole family, centred around two beloved annual events: Fête de la Musique and Bastille Day.
Highlights of the French Season:
Fête de la Musique
Date: Saturday, 22nd June
Time: 11am – 5pm
Locations: Royal Square, the Cider Press near the Blue Note, and in front of Paperchase
Celebrate World Music Day as St Helier’s picturesque streets come alive with the vibrant sounds of music. Enjoy performances from local favourites like Tarantulips, Slap & Tickle, Rick Jones, Brass Souls, and The Balafonics, as well as six finalist acts from this year’s Battle of the Bands. Visiting acts from Normandy will include Ana Kap, Hugo Bastille, L’Effet Mer Brass, BCBG, and Ca R’Samba Koi.
Join us for an unforgettable day of music, featuring buskers, amateurs, and professional musicians.
