Carmen, a housewife from a middle-class family, enjoys a comfortable life in Santiago with her doctor husband and grown-up children. Three years after the Pinochet coup, Carmen travels to her beach house in order to take a solo holiday and encounters a local priest who is sheltering a secret, shattering Carmen’s quiet life and changing her outlook.
