There are more than 100 active RNLI volunteers in Jersey including crew, fundraisers and the management team.
We work closely with Jersey Coastguard, Jersey Fire and Rescue Service, the Jersey Lifeboat Association and other SAR services.
The RNLI believes that prevention is better than cure, so we have a varied Safety and Education programme. In an ideal world no-one would suffer the devastating loss of a loved one to drowning; we’d reach everyone with our water safety advice so that if anyone got into trouble, they would know what to do until help arrived. And our lifesavers always have everything they need to reach them in time and save lives. Our aim is to move closer to a world where no-one drowns.
We are a charity that is driven by our values of selflessness, courage, dependability and trustworthiness, with our volunteers at our heart and, as a charity, we depend on your support to help us meet the costs of saving lives at sea.
