Come and ‘Meet the Collections’ and see some of the fascinating items in our collections that are not usually on display at one of our sites.
With a different theme each month, our collections team will be selecting some of their favourite objects to show you and will be on hand to tell you about these objects, where they came from and what they can tell us about our Island’s history.

Saturday, 11 October / Wildlife and animals
We will be showing a selection of animals, birds and other specimens from our natural history collection, as well as material from the Gerald Durrell archive and artworks featuring animals.
Saturday, 1 November / Photography
This event is all about photography and how technology has changed over time. We have a range of cameras in the collection dating back to the 19th century and our conservators will be available to show you how some of these worked.
Saturday, 13 December / Toys and games
We have a large number of toys in the collections, dating from the Victorian era to the present day. Come and see a selection from across the decades.
