Jersey is blessed with many historical and beautiful churches, some dating back to the 10th and 11th centuries. Each church has its own story to tell, from the charming seaside Church of St Brelade’s Bay, with its beautifully adorned Fisherman’s Chapel, to the breathtaking Parish Church of St Helier, named after the 6th century monk who brought Christianity to Jersey.
All our churches provide a glimpse into Jersey’s social, religious, commercial and military history, and have many fascinating stories to tell about the people who lived, worshipped and died here.
