Airport
Jersey Airport (JER) is well served from most of the airports in United Kingdom and also has good connections to a selection of the European cities on the mainland. Facilities include Duty-free shopping, restaurant and bar, car hire, ATM’s and business facilities. Bus number 15 has regular connections between St Helier and the airport. The bus runs approximately every 30 minutes and it takes about 30 minutes to reach Liberation Bus Station in the heart of St Helier.

There is a taxi rank adjacent to the arrivals building at the airport and just outside the arrivals building at the harbour. A taxi from the airport to St Helier will cost approximately £13 for the 5 mile (8km) journey and you can pre-book a taxi through

Public Transport
Travelling by bus is an excellent way to see the island. There is an extensive reliable network crisscrossing  Jersey. There are 1-day, 2-day, 3-day and 7-day passes available Liberty Bus Passes

Given its small size and relatively gentle terrain, hiring a bicycle is another popular way of exploring the island.

Opening hours From Mon-Sat shops are normally open from 9am-5.30pm. During the summer some shops will stay open later. Thursday is traditionally late night shopping and stores are open until 8pm. Shops are open on Sundays if they comply to Sunday Trading legislation

Jersey`s General Hospital which includes A&E is situated at The Parade in St Helier

It is also important to note that visitors to the island will be required to pay for any treatment that may be required in the unfortunate event of illness or an injury, this includes travellers from the UK.

All visitors are therefore strongly advised to ensure that they have adequate health and medical insurance before travelling to the island.

Shopmobility in Jersey is based in the lower ground floor of the Sand Street car park in St Helier.  It is the only charity in the Channel Islands dealing with the hire of mobility equipment.

We can hire mobility scooters, power chairs, manual wheelchairs, toilet seats on legs, shower stools, Zimmer frames and a selection of other mobility equipment.We will deliver to your accommodation but ask for notice as we operate with few volunteers.

There is also a number of mobility scooters and manual chairs at Durrell Wildlife Conservation Centre.
