August Gone

Born in the wild winds of the Jersey Channel Islands, August Gone is a female-fronted four-piece band cranking out original alternative rock with a twist of grunge, blues, and the occasional elegant sucker-punch of classical influence. Think Metallica met Halestorm at a punk-pop afterparty, and Alice in Chains brought the wine.

Frontwoman Alexandra Le Monnier leads the charge with vocals that cut, soothe, and stir—she also handles bass, piano, and songwriting like she was born with a Fender in one hand and a pen in the other. Guitarists Leo Govan (also on backing vocals) and Andres De Los Rios duel and dance with riffs that swerve between gritty and glorious, while Craig Churcher keeps the chaos classy with drums that hit like thunder and groove like vinyl.
Formed just a year ago, the band has already made noise—literally and figuratively. Their single “High Horse” was crowned Track of the Week on Tim Hunter’s BBC Introducing show, and they’re set to headline the ‘Made in Jersey’ stage at Weekender 2025. Their debut music video for “AMEN” is locked, loaded, and aiming for viral orbit.

Whether you’re here to book a band that will blow the roof off, or just curious if rock is still alive (it is—and it swears creatively), August Gone is streaming now on all major platforms. Go listen, laugh, scream, cry, or dance—we won’t judge.
Watch “AMEN,” crank the volume, and remember: August is never really gone.
