A Traditional Christmas – loving history

Put aside those ‘to do’ lists and experience ‘A Traditional Christmas’ with us at Hamptonne Country Life Museum. Dating back to the 15th century, the house and farm buildings will be brought to life by larger-than-life characters, traditions and stories that will transport you back in time to Christmases of days gone by:

  • Meet Ebenezer Scrooge who’ll be bringing ‘A Christmas Carol’ to Life
  • Help to stir the Christmas pudding in the 1940s kitchen
  • Taste gingerbread in the Victorian bakehouse
  • Cosy down for festive storytelling in the lounge of Syvret House
  • Candle dipping and weaving in Langlois House
  • Follow the sprout trail – for little “sprouts”
  • Mulled wine and mince pies in Hamptonne café

You’ll even find old St Nick warming his boots by the fire in Hamptonne House on Saturday, (17th) 1.30pm-4.30pm and Sunday (18th) 11am-2pm. Please note that he’s on a very busy schedule and when he’s not there, he’ll be needing us to help polish Rudolph’s reins ready for Christmas Eve.

No need to book in advance.  Parking available in the Hamptonne carpark only.
