The Noirmont Command Bunker – Batterie Lothringen

Buried deep into the front of Noirmont Point, this multi-floored restored ‘Leitstand’ (Command Bunker) was originally manned 24/7 by 25 Kriegsmarine (Naval) crew who constantly surveyed the sea with an armoured rangefinder and direction finding periscopes looking for potential targets for the 15cm guns of ‘Lothringen’ emplaced on the headland directly behind the bunker. See and hear how the bunker originally operated plus visit several other bunkers and the multi-floored Observation and Range Finding Tower “MP1” on the headland.
