Dementia Jersey is proud to present This Is Me, an exhibition of self-portraits created by members of its Art Exploration groups. The exhibition complements the recent Reframing Dementia photography exhibition, a collaborative project between Dementia Jersey and ArtHouse Jersey.
Featuring artwork produced during Dementia Jersey’s weekly art sessions, led by art teacher Lucy Blackmore, the exhibition celebrates creativity, identity and self-expression. Art Exploration provides an invaluable creative and social outlet for people living with dementia, offering participants the opportunity to communicate through a visual language that can foster confidence, freedom of expression and personal connection.
The exhibition forms part of the charity’s campaign for International Alzheimer’s Awareness Month in September.
