This walk will start at the town hall and will take us down to the Freedom Tree where we can consider Jersey’s 600m year journey from the South Pole, deltas, volcanoes and Ice Ages to the present day.
From here we will walk around the reclaimed land of the harbour area and up on to Pier Road with views over the town. We will then walk into town and spend some time looking at the variety of building stone used in St Helier, taking us on a journey from volcanoes to tropical islands and the Lake District. There may then be time for those who have not been to go in to the Jersey Aspiring Geopark exhibition on the ground floor of the museum.
