HATW Great North Coast Charity Challenge

DATE: Sunday 10th September 2023 starting at St Catherine’s and ending at Grosnez, a distance of approximately 19 miles.

START: Check-in opens at 8 am and you may start once you have signed in. We ask people NOT to start before 8 am as you may arrive at checkpoints before they open. Runners are welcome but risk missing out on support at checkpoints.

ROUTE: The route follows the coastal paths along the north coast – there are mainly cliff paths for the challenge with a few roads along the way. THERE WILL BE SIGNS MARKED GNCCC FOR YOU TO FOLLOW. Keep the sea on your right and head west! You can’t go wrong! The Finish at Grosnez Castle car park

FREE T_SHIRTS are available to participants. If you wish to have one please order your size (small, medium or large) when registering and collect at CHECK-IN

COACH TRANSFER to St Catherine’s: We will arrange a coach transfer in the morning from the Steam Clock in St Helier, leaving at 7.30 am. Please let the organiser know if you want to take advantage of this by emailing Mike at [email protected].

RETURN: We will have limited transport available to take participants back from Grosnez to St Catherine’s at the end of the walk leaving every hour. Please let the organiser know if you want to take advantage of this by emailing Mike at hatwjersey@gmail. Please note you may have to wait for some time to make the return journey from St Catherine’s. So please help us by trying to arrange to be dropped off at St Catherine’s and picked up at Grosnez.

WALK NUMBER You will receive your walk number at CHECK-IN at St Catherine’s. Further details about the event will be sent to you a week before the event.

SPONSORSHIP: We are raising money for our school improvement projects in Rwanda. This year we are renovating classrooms at Bugarama Cite Secondary School as well as supporting Muko School with their Street Children’s Lives Matter campaign. For more information go to our website at www.hatwj.org.uk. We have generous support from Jersey Overseas Aid but need to raise further funds to contribute to this great cause. Please raise as much money as you can by seeking sponsors for this challenge.
