Join historian Ian Ronayne on this military history-themed winding walk through valleys and country lanes of St Peter in the heart of the Island countryside. Climb the ‘German Road’ passing tunnel entrances from the Second World War. Step back further to learn about Jersey’s French contribution during the Great War. And conclude with a visit to ‘Kernwerk’, the massive command complex at the heart of the Nazi occupation fortress.

Grade: Moderate: all on road but with one steep hill to descend
