Jazz en Jèrri – Supporting creativity and making jazz music accessible to all!

Adria Godfrey was born in the Caribbean coast of Colombia. A musically charged environment in her upbringing led to her discovery of great jazz musicians whose influences continue to shape her style.

When it comes to her approach to music Adria is a free spirit with no boundaries. Adria’s Latin roots are always present in her performance, she has a natural flare for mixing various genres and making them work with great finesse, innovation and improvisation. Adria spent time in Cuba among the Buena Vista Social Club crowd as well as regular slots at The Jazz Cafe in London. She has performed at exclusive venues such as Ronnie’s Scott and curated projects of musical art of different cultures. Adria lives in Jersey and is an active member of the local music scene.

Adam King was introduced to jazz by his father, a saxophonist. Adam’s musical journey started with learning to play alto saxophone, he then learned to play bass guitar after discovering the musical genius of Jaco Pastorius. Adam studied Jazz music at Middlesex University gaining First Class Honours. Taking up double bass in the 2nd year of his studies he has become one of the most in demand bassists on the UK scene. He has played with some of the most prolific musicians in the UK and international jazz scene including Peter King, Stan Tracey, Julian Joseph, Joe Cohn, Jim Mullen, Dave Newton and Nigel Hitchcock amongst others. Adam won the 2015 Worshipful Company Of Musicians- Young Jazz Musician Of The Year award. He can often be seen playing at London’s top jazz establishments such as Ronnie Scott’s, 606 Jazz Club and Pizza Express Jazz Club.

Adam is currently based in the UK and has toured internationally with various bands and artists. He has recorded for Warner brothers, Universal and the BBC. He is also a busy composer and producer and writes in many different genres for commercial purposes.

Tim Horsfall is a multi-instrumentalist musician, composer and arranger who has been a stalwart member of Jersey’s jazz community for over 2 decades.

Being from a musical family Tim discovered jazz at an early age and through listening to and transcribing the recordings of such jazz musicians as

Wes Montgomery, Dexter Gordon, Miles Davies and Cannonball Adderley quickly began to develop his ability on multiple instruments, initially including guitar, Alto and tenor sax and trumpet.More recently focusing primarily on guitar, piano, rhodes and double bass, Tim is a much in demand and busy musician performing regularly on Jersey’s music scene as well as frequently accompanying visiting musicians.
