NEANDERTHAL ENCOUNTERS IN LEMANCHELAND

The publication of Repeopling La Mancheland represents the culmination of ten years research in Neanderthal archaeology from La Cotte de St Brelade. In this talk Dr Matt Pope explains how the work has allowed the exploration of the drowned Ice Age landscape of La Mancheland. He’ll explore the seabed topography through the eyes of these now extinct hunter-gatherer people and consider their lives, cultures and connection with the Channel Island landscape.
