KINDNESS IS ALIVE AND WELL!
The Kindness Festival returns on Saturday 20th September.
Once again St Aubin will be alive with the sound of music as over 30 charities fill the Harbourside and Parish Hall.
It is called the Kindness Festival for two reasons. First, it is a joyful celebration of wonderful local charities demonstrating the kindness and caring that makes life in Jersey better for everyone. Second, every Charity shows Kindness by contributing an activity that makes the day fun for all the visitors to the Festival.
Established in 2015, the Kindness Festival has a unique atmosphere, uplifting and joyful, and very effective in enabling 30 charities to show, share, tell and celebrate the work they do in the community, helping and supporting individuals. It is a celebration of the Kindness that makes a difference.
Harbourside St Aubin is a wonderful location making the Festival ideal for a day out, to enjoy all that the Festival and the village has to offer. With the Promenade connection from St Helier, and parking along St Aubin’s Bay, past Festival visitors have taken advantage of a car free visit, walking along the Esplanade, bicycling, riding on Le Petit Train or strolling across the beach to enjoy the carefree ambiance that is the Kindness experience and discover more than you ever knew goes on in Jersey! The Festival runs from 10am to 4pm.
About the Kindness Festival
The first Kindness Festival was created by Brian Clarke in 2015 and he has single handedly organised every Festival since then.
The concept of the festival is based on Brian’s belief that Kindness is the catalyst that enables society to change for the better. Kindness facilitates empathy, tolerance, compassion, and social responsibility when we have a basis of kindness. Kindness is demonstrated by the 400 locally registered charities, and their volunteers who do so much to improve the quality of Island life, and the purpose of the Festival is to give them a forum to show and tell of their work.
