#LoveNature: Echoes in the Night – Shining a light on local bats

Join ecologist Henry for an atmospheric evening walk exploring the fascinating world of bats in St Peter’s Valley. As dusk falls, we’ll wander from the Mill Pond into the woodlands of Le Don Gaudin, using bat detectors to listen for foraging bats and learn about their behaviour, ecology, and conservation challenges.  Even if the bats remain unseen, this tranquil after‑dark walk offers a magical way to experience the valley; suitable for all wildlife lovers-please bring sturdy footwear, a torch, and note under‑18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Before setting off, you’ll be shown how to use easy-to‑handle bat detectors, with a limited number available to borrow (smartphone with USB‑C and the free Echo Meter Touch app required).
