Enjoy a workshop of practical information and hands-on learning about the art and science of grafting and pruning apple and pear trees.
The morning will start with coffee in the front hall in the manor at 9.30 a.m and will include a short walk to look at how Samarès’ trees are pruned, so warm clothes are essential as is a sharp penknife! Participants can choose between an apple or a pear (the pear on offer will be a Chaumontel – the premier pear that was exported from Jersey in the 19th Century).
