Launching the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Jersey and the Liberation International Music Festival in May 2025, We’ll Gather Lilacs tells the stories of the excitement of those who must leave to fight, the love, fear and loss of those left behind, to the joy felt at the end of the war by all.
Captivating songs from the timeless perspective of ‘Tom Sails Away’ to the oceanic depths of Elgar’s ‘Submarines’ and the cosy evergreen ‘We’ll Gather Lilacs’ and other songs by Noel Coward and Ivor Novello will make this a night to remember.
