*New for 2024 & our latest project*
This Tour is of the WW2 German Resistance Nest Mole Verclut, which we call the St Catherine’s Bunker locally. This tour provides a guided walk around the Bunker and Tunnels the occupying German forces built during the Second World War.
At the start of the war, this was a low-priority site for the Germans, but by July 1944, it faced the American lines, which were now 14 miles away on the coast of France; by August 1944, the area was upgraded to include an artillery battery and a 150cm coastal searchlight. This is the only way to visit this site, and all funds raised from this tour are going back into the restoration of this site.
