The more we slow down, the more we see. On this walk, you’ll explore the subtle shifts in across the landscape and how colour reveals itself in layers, shaped by light, season, texture and distance.
Lead by Rob’s eye, learn how artists observe and record colour. This walk is a chance to look differently – to notice the grey-blue of shaded ground, the faded gold in the grass, the mossy greens on rock, and the pale surface of granite.
It’s not what you look at, but how you see it. A quiet, thoughtful walk that opens your eyes to the richness of the world around you.
Rob Allen grew up in Jersey and studied Fine Art at university, later establishing himself as a leading local artist known for his sensitive, evocative response to the Island’s land, sea and light. Duration: Allow 1.30 hours. Difficulty: 🔵🔵⚪⚪⚪
The route follows rocky, uneven terrain, which may be wet in places. Wear suitable footwear. And bring a sketchbook and pencils to record your observations during the walk.
