The Jersey Music Association is organising the first island-wide Under-18s Battle of the Bands for the first time in years. The competition is set to take place on the 22nd of July at The Watersplash from 2-6pm with bands aged 14-18 having the opportunity to enter by the 27th of May.
The Under-18s Battle of the Bands is not just a competition but an experience providing the youth band ‘starter kit’. The Jersey Music Association recognises the lack of accessibility and supporting infrastructure for young bands to progress into the local music scene. BOTB provides all shortlisted bands (those selected to perform the day of the competition) with free professional photography, videography of their performance, free rehearsal space (subject to availability), and future performance opportunities at BOTB fundraising events.
Even if your band doesn’t win, they can level up their socials and present professionally online! The winning band has the opportunity to have 2 tracks professionally recorded and produced for free. This is an amazing chance for young bands to get a foot up into the local music scene.
