One cold spring, one wet summer, or one unusual sighting can feel significant. On their own, they tell us very little. But when similar conditions repeat, cluster or persist over time, a clearer picture begins to emerge.
With Paul Aked and Emily Wagdin, this walk uses Jersey’s weather records, wildlife data and field observation to show the difference between short-term variation and longer-term environmental change, and what local patterns are starting to tell us.
From rainfall, temperature and dry periods to habitat condition, species presence and seasonal shifts, this is an insight into how we track change across the Island, and why repetition matters.
